Renaissance or cultural rebirth is something that history shows us is an intrinsic part of the human journey.
Although we often refer to ‘the Renaissance’ as meaning the period in European history spanning the 15th and 16th Centuries where beautiful artworks and scientific insights were born, one can discover much written about other cultural rebirths also.
The coming event ‘Towards a Planetary Renaissance – Revealing Paths of Beauty’, we are all being called to consider the incoming cultural rebirth, a rebirth that promises to be momentous in every way. Often following periods of crisis and darkness, rebirth, in this case on a Planetary level, puts us in the very heart of humanity’s function – to seek harmony and beauty out of conflict.
Our themes in this event will take us on a journey to consider the conditions needed for the new to be born. Just as we prepare for the birth of new life, so we need to cooperate with the preparation of the field to support the incoming energies. Amongst the conflicts and crises, we see tender new shoots already appearing and yet so many other seeds are yet to be known and cultivated.
This event will become a container, a crucible, for us to play our part in the work that’s needed. We will explore the current world crises through the eyes of many different peoples, with a view to opening the portal to healing, within ourselves and on the planetary level. We will undertake research on the paths of beauty and our collective understanding of beauty itself and how we will know, understand and live it, in the new epoch. We will consider our role as world servers and the need to access qualities of understanding, daring, and creativity.
Working within a healing and creative process that will require each of us to contribute fully and collaborate within the space of the heart, the heart which contains all – joy, pain, trauma, hope and beauty – and which will be the place where love, Christ’s love, will become a living reality.
Art, music, creativity, love, understanding and courage will be some of the resources we will access in these three days.
