Chairman of the St. Petersburg branch of the National Roerich Committee (NRC, Russia), Member of the Board of Trustees of the International Roerich Memorial Trust (Kullu, India), Corresponding Member of the International Academy of Ecology, Man and Nature Protection Sciences, Adviser of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences.
Graduated from the Faculty of Chemistry of Leningrad State University, where he worked for more than 20 years.
Since 1973, he has been studying the creative legacy of the Roerich family. Studied bioelectronics, conducted research on psychic energy.         Scientific secretary of the Commission for the Development of the Scientific and Cultural Legacy of Nicholas Roerich at the Scientific Council for Space Research for the National Economy of the USSR Academy of Sciences (1986–1990).

In 1990 became one of the founders of the Leningrad Roerich Society – a branch of the Soviet Roerich Foundation, and was its secretary.

In the 1980s, he met several times with Svetoslav Roerich during his visits to the USSR.

One of the main organizers of the first ever  cultural program in space “Cosmos. Man. Culture” at the Mir orbital station (1990). In1996 became the Vice President of the International League for the Protection of Culture.

From 1995 to 2005 – Chairman of the St. Petersburg Branch of the International Centre of the Roerichs, from 2005 to 2015 its Honorary Chairman. After that was one of the founders of the NRC.

Since 1991, regularly visits India with cultural and scientific programs. He is engaged in the development and implementation of the concept of revival of the Himalayan Research Institute “Urusvati” created by the Roerichs in India

Was a scientific consultant and participant in a number of documentary and television films about the Roerichs. Participated in expeditions in Altai, Mongolia and India along the Roerichs’ route.

Author of over 60 articles.
